We came
into existence a year ago. 365 days
passed in a blink. It seems like only
yesterday the two of us (Dikesh and
Pratichya) had come up with the idea
to start something creative. Hence we came
up with the idea to launch a website
through which we could urge others to
participate too.
How excited we had been then and naive
too. As we had thought we would get
assistance from everywhere for such a
noble cause. How wrong we were! We had
not asked for financial help from
anyone, all we had asked was for people,
and initially the near ones to visit our
site and pass their comment, for our
improvement. But there have been a few
good friends, like Sangeeta, Riswi,
Rishav, Anup, Anjali, Kabita, Samyog,
Bibek, who were willing to become member
of a young penniless site helping us
with their write-ups. We would also like
to thank our guest columnists for their
contribution.
Despite our teams effort to establish
ourselves, the question we are asked
occasionally are- what, who and how
about us. We take this landmark day to
answer all these queries.
For a start it’s a web site. Now you
might ask what kind of website well
that’s a little tough to decide as we
have tired to include as much as we can
in it. For a year we've tried to go with
our motto "speak your mind" on anything
under the sun.
Let us state again that recess café is a
web site, and not a café where you go
for refreshment. It actually is a
website, launched and run by Nepalese
youth with the view of expressing their
ideas and opinions on anything they feel
like. That was what we had in mind,
initially. Then, we had aimed to provide
a platform for the Nepalese youths
wanted their voice to be heard, through
our site.
A year's experience has taught us that
it's not enough, that we need to go
global now. That we must be able to
include everyone under the sun too. We
ourselves have been operating form two
different countries. Yes it's true, for
more than a quarter of a year our site
has been updated from Singapore, as
Dikesh is in Singapore now and he
updates it from there. That is why we
had not been able to update the site
regularly for a while. For that we ask
your forgiveness once again.
We are also grateful to all our viewers
who have been loyal to us. It's the
thought that people log on to our site
and keep coming back to it, that has
been the driving force for us. It's the
very thought that urges us to inert a
new year spending money from our own
pocket and without financial aid from
any sphere whatsoever. You viewers are
our earnings; we believe the increase in
the visitors no is the earning for us.
Your support will see us through yet
another year. |
We have done it again or shall we say Nepal Vista did it again. Adding another feather to our cap Nepal Vista has declared us one of the best new sites of the year 2006. Making us even more determined to keep going ahead and if possible grab
some more awards along the way. Lets hope we manage to prolong this happy journey forever. We know with our viewers well wishes we can achieve that too.

share this joyous moment with our
viewers. We want to include you guys in
everything we do and like wise hope
to be a part of everything you do. With
your support and participation we
have come so far but like they say sky
is not the limit we know with your
support and love we can go much further
and would like your suggestion on
what you would like to see on the site.

our visitors we know we can go only one
way and this is ahead.
