Mingma Sherpa was born in a small village called Lukla in 23rd of September,1980 in Nepal, Lukla is just under the Mount Everest, taking its blessings. He was born in a Sherpa Family, and he is the youngest son for his parents. He has a sister and two older brothers. Second brother Dawa Tshiring Sherpa is the writer of his most of the songs. Mingma Sherpa, is a polite and gentle guy. He likes to listen more and talk less. He is very dedicated towards his family and his friends. He is very soft hearted guy. When it comes of help, he never steps back.
Mingma Sherpa started his musical career in 2000. He had by then, even contributed two songs for collection album, entitled" Gundruk ko Jhol". In the period of 2000-2003,he prepared for his first debut album, "YATHARTHAMA", and the title song BHUMARIMA, was off the hook. That song introduced him as a very good singer, and flawless talent in Nepali Music Industry. In the following year 2004, he was honoured with "DHUK DHUKI" award in Pokhara, and was able to get into the nomination list of Image Award in the category of "Best New Artist".
And he came out with his second debut album "FEEL", the song "Chamm-chamm" and "Namuna Banai Diyeu" from his second album, made him more popular. And he came out with videos of those songs, which were mind blowing. The song "Aansoo jhardina ma", has touched many people's heart in such a way that, Mingma Sherpa was requested by public to do the video on that song too, and respecting his fans and music lovers requests, he made the video and got really very good response too. According to him, its like he is doing videos in chain pattern from his album "FEEL", and now he has succeed to complete the 4th video just couple of days ago from the same album,#4 song in the album, the song "Kasari-Kasari, bhanu ma uni lai", its really a very nice song and the video is well done.
In such a short period of time, he is been able to make the name and fame in public, he calls himself Happy go Lucky Guy. Being a fresh comers in Nepali Music Industry, he is in well demand in Nepal as as well as in abroad. He has been able to touch the hearts of people from all the age groups, from the kids to the old by his melodious voice and melodious songs. His first abroad tour was to USA, accompanied by other well known singers, they were there in USA almost for three months and he visited lots of states with in America, to perform in the concerts, every where he went, he got very well response and lots of love from his fans. In USA, New York, he was honoured by Honourable Senetor John Sabini, with the Recognition Certificate. And after that, as soon as he got back to Nepal, he got chance to go and perform for his fans in Hong Kong, where he was called by Newar Samajh. Followed by UK tour was held by Magar Samajh, and after that he went to Dubai with other two Dohori singers, Raju Pariyar and Srijana Pariyar. So, on and on ...Mingma Sherpa is the most busiest Artist we can see in these days. He is been performing in all different places in Nepal as well.
Now, as I have heard that he is busy with his upcoming third album. He is preparing for it very seriously to put more effort, and make it more better. So, we can see, how busy Mingma Sherpa, the Bright Star of Nepali Music Industry is. Lets all have patience and wait for his new album.
